Grandma and Grandpa Charleston

Grandma and Grandpa Charleston were Frank Trevor and Lola Mae (nee Davis). Lola was born in Indiana, but I haven't found out all the details there yet. I have now found Lola's death certificate and this lists both of her parents, which solves one of the puzzles of whom she is related to. Her parents, Joseph and Helena (nee Ray) Davis, were from Indiana.

Lola was a twin (with Lorenzo) and the two of them were born in July 1900.

Frank Trevor was born in 1895 and was just two years younger than his brother Joseph. Two of Joseph's children still reside in the Chicago area and that has been a great resource for me as I do this research.

Frank worked for the railroad after the war (that's WWI). During the war he went to the British Isles, France, and Belgium. Lola was a "Rosie the Riveter" and worked at O'Hare field for Douglas Aircraft (aka McDonnell-Douglas). They had several children. Frank T. Jr. (Uncle Hap), Dad, Thomas Dall (Uncle Tom), John, Jean, and Virginia.

Frank died in a sanitarium and Lola died from kidney failure (of which she only had one) at the young age of 54
