Purpose

Display File Date and Time in Local Format.

Operation

This function adds a Visual SlickEdit capability.

This function displays the date and time stamp from a file using the local format. It then returns the string to the caller.

If no file is specified, the date and time of the file associated with the current buffer is displayed.

tlaaFileDateTime( "tlaSlick.e" )
tlaaFileDateTime( "D:\Develop\e\tlaSlick.e" )

Input Parameters

String containg Date/Time from specified file in the form:

<null> filename -- not found -- Error.

Installation

Perform the following steps:

  • Select the Code button on this page.
  • When the second window opens, select all the text in the text box.
  • Issue Ctl-C (copy).
  • Create a file in Visual SlickEdit with type Slick-C and extension ".e".
  • Issue Ctl-V (paste).
  • Issue Ctl-S (save).
  • Select PFK-12 to compile the macros.
